The Story Of You
Fast forward…
The year is 2224
A grandmother tucks her inquisitive granddaughter into bed. The young sparkling eyes meet ones deep with wisdom of the ages. She asks, Grandma, will you please tell me the story again? You know…the one about the lady and the snowflake?
The grandmother’s well lived face filled with creases from her smile as she uttered, oh yes dear one. I would be delighted to tell you this tale again. It is one of my very favorites as well.
Once upon a time there lived…
Coming back with me to the present day, I am going to ask you a very important question.
What if a story told 200 years from today, is a story about you?
About something you did that was so impactful to the world, you left an energetic stamp that would forever be present throughout the footsteps of time.
How does this idea feel in your body right now?
Nevermind the thoughts racing through around all the reasons it wouldn’t or couldn’t happen.
You will never know what might be until you’ve lived it.
Perhaps this is your sign it’s time to move on those inner nudges you’ve been avoiding.
I’ve been looking deeper into the path of a visionary.
One with a purposeful mission. One who is called to action from a greater source. One who feels the stagnancy of a comfort zone.
I’m learning to embrace the feeling in my belly when the butterflies are dancing.
I came to a point where my fear of not doing overtook my fear of doing.
My mission has been burning in me for some time but it didn’t come with a roadmap.
It’s come through a plentitude of life lessons.
Before I knew the truth - that my hurdles were actually preparing me for an important mission - I would wallow in my frustration, thinking that bad things were happening to me.
Look, I’m human and I still become flustered and overwhelmed at times. The thing is, I can now see that there will be a gift in the lesson.
The Universe may just have a twist of humor.
The “wrapping paper” these gifts come in is sometimes not the most attractive…like the package no one chooses at the Christmas party.
The beauty in a mission is the fuel it provides you.
When you’re doing the work of dreams, you become an unstoppable force. You find yourself running with the fear, the lessons, the chaos.
These components are only part of your overall picture. Your focus is much larger.
With all of this in mind, now I ask, is it time to start living as your visionary self?
In this mindset, there is no too old or young. No failure. No wishing to be like someone else.
There is only you as the extraordinary asset you are to this world.
It’s up to you to sharpen your tools, to add skills, to nourish and enrich your body and mind.
I invite you to your journal for some powerful contemplations:
What if every single experience in life has prepared you for this moment where you acknowledge your mission?
If you were to declare your readiness to Source/God/Universe/Infinite Intelligence, what would you say?
Do you have questions?
Are you mad, confused, intrigued, joyful, scared? Allow it to flow.
I believe we are all here to touch other’s lives in some way.
Some of us will accept a visionary assignment that will take us beyond the realms of ordinary life.
We will be the trailblazers, the world changers, the ones that movies and books are based on.
The one whose story is told over and over throughout generations.
Why not let it be you?
